About us

We focus on one range of financing.

Canada Capital Finance connects Canadian business owners and households seeking $10,000 to $200,000 with private lenders. We are not a lender. That is a deliberately narrow window, and everything about how we operate is built around it.

Why this range

$10K to $200K can be a hard range to borrow in.

Under $10,000, banks are competitive and a credit union will often cost less. Above $200,000, a commercial banker is usually a better fit who knows your industry and will sit with your financials for a fortnight.

In between, amounts can be too large for a card and too small for some relationship managers to prioritise, and borrowers often need an answer quickly. That range is where we focus.

How we work

Four commitments.

01

We tell you when we are not the right fit

If your existing debt looks cheaper than what lenders in our network are likely to offer, we say so. If a credit union is likely to cost you less, we suggest you call them first.

02

Total cost of borrowing, in dollars, before you sign

Lenders must disclose the cost of borrowing before you sign. We make sure you see the total you would repay, stated plainly next to the amount you borrow.

03

The lender pays us, and we tell you that

We are compensated by the lender, not by you. We charge no application or processing fee. Anyone asking you for money up front to release a loan is a warning sign of fraud.

04

One named specialist, start to finish

One specialist handles your file, from the first call to presenting any offer and answering questions afterwards. You should not have to explain your business three times.

The network

One application, several types of lender.

Bank-adjacent lenders

Institutional lenders that often have lower pricing and stricter criteria, typically suited to strong files with clean credit and two years of history.

Specialist funders

Equipment, factoring and industry-specific lenders who may consider an asset or a receivables ledger that a generalist lender would decline.

Revenue-based funders

Advance providers who weigh recent deposits more heavily than credit history. Usually more expensive, and sometimes an option for businesses with weaker credit.

Straight answers

Things people ask before they trust us with a file.

Are you a lender?
No. Canada Capital Finance is not a lender, does not make loans, and does not make credit decisions. We operate a network of private lenders and provide a matching service: we take your application, approach lenders in our network, and bring back any offers they make. Every offer names the lender actually extending the credit, so you always know who you would be contracting with — and you are under no obligation to proceed with any of them.
How do you make money?
The lender pays us a commission when a loan completes. You pay us nothing, at any stage. Because our compensation varies between lenders, ask your specialist which lenders were approached and why one was suggested, and they will tell you.
What happens to my information?
Primarily to the lenders we approach on your behalf. We may also pass it to service providers and marketing companies we do business with, which you can opt out of at any time by writing to our privacy officer. One specialist owns your file throughout, so you are not handed round a panel of lenders. The full detail, including how long we keep it, is in our privacy policy.
